ORIGINS RitualiTea Matcha Madness…

Hey everyone! Today I am going to be talking about this new face mask from ORIGINS, I was super excited to try this out when I got it as a sample in my July Birchbox (There’s a blog a few posts back if you want to check out what I got.) One of the main reasons I couldn’t wait to try this out is because you get to mix up the mask yourself so it’s kind of like a little science experiment all in one. The sample size was sufficient and I will get probably 2/3 uses okay maybe 3 at a push. Though this product does come with a little heavy price tag of £32 so the sample size and the cost of a birchbox works out well. Now lets talk face mask!

The instructions are to mix 2 teaspoons of powder with 2 teaspoons of water, the powder dissolves easily and quickly which leaves a slightly foamy mixture.  One thing I have to say about this product it the scent is pretty strong and unfortunately for me I wasnt a fan. Thankfully you get use to the scent while it dries although I was debating not applying it.

I applied this all over using a facemask brush, and burst out laughing! This is matcha madness for a reason my face was bright green. I slightly felt like the wicked witch of the west. (I didn’t melt when I washed it off thankfully) The product dried quicker than I expected as I thought I may have used to much water in the mixing stage. I probably left if on for about 20 mins before rinsing off with warm water.

This product has left my skin lovely and smooth without any irritation although the smell is really too much for me to be applying so close to my nose. I love the idea of mixing up your own facemask as well which would be perfect for my combination skin by only mixing small amounts for different sections of my face. I’m looking forward to trying out the rest of this range, but I’ll probably hold off until I get another sample through birchbox as the price tag is a little high for just trying out. (Well for savvy me anyway.) Have you tried any of these facemasks yet? What’s your opinions? Or any other facemasks I should try? Until next time 💜🦄
